Pass Plus Web Site

Pass Plus  is backed by the Government, the Driving Standards Agency and many major UK insurers. It is designed to make newly qualified drivers become better drivers and gives a number of other benefits, such as cheaper motor insurance. You should remember that new drivers make up just 10% of licence holders but are involved in nearly 30% of accidents.

You can take Pass Plus up to a year after passing your practical driving test. There is no further test to take. When your instructor is satisfied with your performance you receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency which can be used to significantly reduce the insurance premium you or your parents pay for you to drive a car. Our course consists of six specially designed training sessions to follow on from a successful practical driving test. The lessons will include driving both in and out of town, on dual carriageways and motorways, in all weathers and at night. The extra experience and positive driving skills from Pass Plus would otherwise take a long time to acquire.

Motor insurers that support the scheme will give you a one-year's no claims bonus for comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party policies as soon as you insure your own car. This saving alone could more than cover the cost of the course. You can defer the no-claims bonus for two years if you currently drive under someone else's policy which means that if you buy a car within two years of completing a Pass Plus course, and have not had any claims in the meantime, your first premium will be reduced by the extra one year's no claim bonus. Insurers representing over 63% of the UK private car market have agreed to offer these discounts.
